ABOUT
The department of sociology was started with the inception of the college in 1982with good strength of students. The eminent professors like prof.smt,S G Javalgi, Dr N.B.Inganal and prof.M.M Hiremath, rendered there service to the department and welfare of the students. DR N.B.Inganal former head of the department, served as the principal of the college for two years. Prof.M.H.Patil also served three years. At the present smt,R.R.Malipatil is leading the department with a faculty member shri,I.C.Pattanshetti.
The department has been continuously arranging field work in villages to acquaint the students with rural life. The department has MOU with NGO Village Foundation, Channal and organizing programmes for the benefit of the students.

To infuse the social and Moral values to become good citizen.
MISSION
Importing the Knowledge on the life of great Indian Social thinkers like Manu, Mahatma Gandhiji,
Shri Basaveshwara, Swami Vivekanand, Dr. B.R Ambedkar, Iravati Karve, G.S Ghure & Dr. M.N
Shrinivas with helps the student to understand the importance of Society and Nation.
