ABOUT
Department of chemistry was introduced in the year 1982. Later, in view of the growing importance of science and its application in various walks of life. The sangha introduced Science branch in the year 1992. The department of Chemistry was established with initial strength of 26 students in B.Sc.Part-I. Prof A.R.Jigajinni joined the department as a first lecturer. As the strength increases, to co-up with the workload Prof.Smt.S.H.Bidari was appointed later on Prof. S.G. Nyamagoudar, Prof.N.P.Hebbare Prof N.R.Naik, Prof.S.C.Badami Prof. M.U.Javalagaddi have also served in the department. At present Prof. S.M.Sangannavar(H.O.D), Prof.R.B.Goudar, Prof. G.P.Kotur, Prof. S.B.Byali are serving as a lecturer.
VISION
To build foundation for excellence and super development of the institution as a premier department. To start PG in Chemistry Course. To prepare the students for Competitive Exams. Applying for minor research projects. Organizing National level seminar and workshops.
MISSION
To awaken the young budding minds and discover their talents both in theory and in practical chemistry, through dedication to teaching commitment to students and innovative instructional methods. To create maintain the programs of excellence in the area of research, education and public outreach. To promote, inspire and nurture the fundamental of chemistry through UG and PG courses offered for the basic sciences, applied sciences. Our specific goal is to become state or National recognized department. To give the knowledge about research projects interest.
